Ab: How long have you known that you’re dyslexic?
Anuja: I didn’t know until my daughter was diagnosed, who’s now 18. When she was about seven and not doing terribly well at school, she was assessed and they said, Look, there are some telltale signs here, one of which is your classic doesn’t-know-the-difference-between-right-and-left. There are others that fall into the same category. And personally, I’d never understood why I can’t tell the difference between right or left — I just don’t get it.
